System Role

UUID: 99D3B5E7-275E-4B3B-B833-6D73656602B1

Summary: The Host PC calibration-and-user-settings system shall let the operator select calibration inputs and save or recall user settings, validate requested selections, activate only accepted configuration, and report outcomes without defining calibration mathematics or storage formats.

System Objectives

UUID: 88EFFB81-07DA-4B40-ACDA-D750932C774F

Objective 1: Selection input. Calibration and User Settings shall present bias or dark, wavelength, flat-field or PRNU, and spectral-response or QE selections together with their detector and processing-context metadata.

Rationale: Presenting each selection with its context gives the operator the information needed to distinguish calibration data intended for different measurement configurations.

Objective 2: Selection activation. Calibration and User Settings shall compare the selection metadata with the active detector and processing context, reject missing or mismatched selections, and preserve the current configuration after rejection.

Rationale: Context comparison prevents calibration data from a different detector or processing path from silently changing the measurement.

Objective 3: Persistence outcome. Calibration and User Settings shall save or recall user settings, report the result, and preserve the current configuration when the operation fails.

Rationale: Preserving the active configuration after failure prevents a partial save or recall from leaving processing state ambiguous.

Summary: The Host PC calibration-and-user-settings system manages operator selection and configuration outcomes, while the Primary Data Pipeline owns calibration calculations and application order. Formats, versions, defaults, persistence locations, compatibility rules, and startup self-test behavior remain Not In Docs.
